The album climbed to number 3 among the U.K. Charts and produced 8 singles. These included Be The One I.D.G.A.F The U.K. Number One single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. 1 single New Rules. Dua lipa was born on the 22nd of August, 1995 in London in the UK to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Her maternal grandmother is Bosnian. The ancestors of her can be traced all the way back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. The two grandparents of Lipa are historians. She is the sibling of Rina Lipa, as well as another younger brother named Gjin. Lipa has been influenced by the music of her father who is the lead guitarist and singer for Oda, the Kosovan rock group Oda.
