Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been as a performer, model and advocate for animal rights in the US. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most acclaimed films. When she was in New York, she was born and brought up in an artistic family. After working as an assistant to photographers then she turned her attention to acting and modeling. Her first two movies she received recognition and was awarded her the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major hit and fetched her worldwide notoriety, along with the Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. The film was recognized as the most successful female box-office star of the globe after just three films. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater signed her name, hand-prints and foot prints in the year 1972. The actress has appeared in a variety of other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among many others. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
